More squares!

I got more knitting done than I have in a while, because I LOVE the idea of a mitered square blanket with no sewing! (How can this be true, you ask? See the girls over at Mason-Dixon and scroll down.) So, yesterday I showed you one square, now here's four together, with no sewing! Here's the RS:

I love Sunday mornings. I was actually able to sleep in until 10 am this morning, which I haven't done in a while. Of course, I went to bed at around 1am and my new neighbors decided to have a HUGE party in their yard last night, which is right outside my bedroom window. Actually, they've been partying pretty much all week now. There were four empty town-house style apartments that were empty at the same time, and then they all got rented out to a bunch of Irish students! Now, I have nothing against the Irish, but man, can they drink!! They were drinking from 1pm till about 3am, and maybe even later, but thats when I finally fell asleep. Hopefully they start school soon and won't be doing this much anymore.
Ok, so this is knitting blog, right? I did get a little knitting done yesterday, in the midst of trying to get some studying done. I finished one tiny square for my mitered square afghan!

I decided to go with the garter stitch version, because I like how it looks on both sides, and it lays flat, which is always nice. I'm using cheap-o Caron Simply Soft yarn and size seven needles... so this will probably take me forever to finish, but I think it will be worth it when its done.
Ok, now that obligatory knitting content is out of the way, can I just say how much I love this man??

Sea Glass

So I've been thinking of what color scheme I want to use to make my Psychedelic Squares afghan, and I think I would like to use a sea glass theme: grey, sand, teal, light blue, and a darker blue color.

Then I remembered this handy little tool that randomly generates stripes for you... all you have to do is put in the colors you want and how many rows, and it will show you how the colors work together! How cool is that?? So this is what I came up with. Now all I have to do is buy a bunch of yarn... which I can't really afford, but oh well!
