I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to be out of school for a while and have time to read a book in four days! I just finished <a href="http://www.danbrown.com/novels/davinci_code/reviews.html">The DaVinci Code</a> yesterday. It has earned a spot on my list of my favorite books ever. I have been wanting to read this for a long time now, but either didn't have the time to read it, or when I would go to the library, it was never there. But luckily enough, I went to the new Point Loma Library and there it was, waiting for me! I figured it would be a good book for me to read on the plane on my trip home, but once I started it, I couldn't stop reading. I can't imagine the amount of research Dan Brown did when he was writing this book. Apparently its all historically accurate. It really makes me want to jump on a plane and go to Paris, and especially go to the Louvre. I can't wait until the movie comes out. I guess there is already all kinds of controversy about it, because the religious zealots are freaking out. And if you've read the book, you'll know why. It more or less says that Christianity is based on a bunch of fabricated information. Of course, religion is a very sensitive subject for a lot of people, so I'll end it there.<br />So, I have 5 days until I leave for home!! I am soooooooo excited! It seems that I already have plans for every day that I am there. I somehow have the suspicion that this wont be a very relaxing vacation. Since I only come home about once a year, I have to see everybody in the span of a week. So, my mom's side of the family is getting together on saturday, and then my Dad's side is getting together on Sunday. Not to mention that I am meeting up with Christine and Pam on Friday night, and I think I will be visiting my friend Melissa in Boston on Friday during the day! That leaves me three full days to just chill. I will be watching a lot of Red Sox games, eating a lot of lobster, and swatting a LOT of mosquitoes. I just hope that I will not have any encounters with any TICKS!
