my sanity

Yes, knitting keeps me sane. In the midst of breaking up with a boyfriend, moving to a new place, school and work...  knitting is a constant.  And as busy as I am, I must find time to knit in my life.  I finished the Misty Meadow Scarf last night, and now she is blocking.  medium_mistymeadowblocking2.jpg   To re-cap, the pattern is the Misty Garden scarf from Scarfstyle.  I changed the name to Misty Meadow because the project was my submission for the Knit the Classics September book, The Time Traveler's Wife.  I used only one ball of Filatura di Crosa Muticolor.  Of course, the photo does no justice to the color changes, but it really is  a beautiful mix of blues and greens with a little pink, purple and yellow mixed in.  I love the pattern, too... so simple and easy to memorize. The waves in the pattern represent the ripples in time, and ripples of grass in the meadow where Clare and Henry meet so often. The colors of blue and green seem to be a constant throughout the book as well.

I already know what my next project will be... a felted laptop case, to protect my brand new Dell which I LOVE.  I wish I didn't have to spend so much time packing when I would so much rather be knitting! At least the cats like to play in the boxes. medium_catboxes.jpg
